Facility Overview

"Delhi Earth Station is an Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) satellite communication and tracking facility located in the Central Ridge/Chanakyapuri area of New Delhi, near Malcha Mahal. It is one of ISRO's ground facilities used for satellite communications and space-related operations. Purpose: Supports satellite communication, tracking, and other space-application activities as part of ISRO's nationwide ground infrastructure. Historical significance: Delhi Earth Station has existed since the early years of India's satellite communication experiments and was used in satellite telecommunication projects alongside other earth stations in India. Recent relevance: An air-quality monitoring station has also been established near the ISRO Earth Station area (Central Ridge/Malcha Mahal) as part of Delhi's environmental monitoring network."
